Loading Training Plan from GC To Fenix 2 (am I crazy?)

First time posting. My sincerest apologies if this is glaringly obvious or has been covered at length elsewhere. I feel like I have scoured all threads and am not understanding some things.
I have read all over the place that the garmin connect training plans can be added to my GC calendar, and then uploaded to a compatible device. After that all things are wonderful and I am basically wearing a personal coach on my wrist. Oh what a joy it would be.

So in my case,
-I have added the 12 week Olympic Training Program Level 1(beginner) w/HR to my GC calendar.
-I have a Fenix 2 running latest software update.
-I cannot find any options for importing to device.

What am I missing?!

Thank you in advance for any help!

~Nate
  • On the calendar page, near the top-right corner of the calendar is a little arrow icon (right next to the Week, Month, Year buttons). Click the arrow, then click Send Workouts to Device. At this point, I believe you should expect a popup dialog. If you don't it could be because your browser is blocking popups.

THANK YOU TRAVIS!!! I'm embarrassed that I missed that. Worked like a charm.

Any idea why swim workouts aren't saved in the calendar as workouts (like the bike and run) but rather as "notes" on that day, and subsequently are not uploaded to the watch at all?

Are you talking about workouts or activities? As far as I can tell, Garmin Connect doesn't support swim workouts at all. I'm not sure how you are getting swim workouts on the calendar. If you are talking about activities, then all of my recorded swims appear on the calendar just like a recorded bike or run activity, just in a different color.
