Anyone know why Garmin would delete the massive amount of runs I had in Connect?

So I decided to start running routinely again after a couple years off. I decided to log into Connect to see where I started last time, keep the paces until I get back into shape and behold I have zero runs in my profile.

This wasn't a few runs, this was 2 years from day 1 of running to my first 5k, 10k, half-marathon, my second half, my training runs for a full marathon and my 5 a week training runs for that entire time. Heartrate tracking, etc.

So why are earth would the people at Garmin think that deleting that data would be okay? And is there any chance of ever getting it back? If not, this thing is going on ebay and I'm done with Garmin.
  • At any point after returning to Garmin Connect, did you get a page that prompted you to enter a new user name? Many people were fooled by this, and entered a new name which apparently created a new account. If you did this, then your old activities are probably all there, just under the old account. If this is the case, I'm unsure what you need to do to move your activities to the old account and eliminate the new one.

This may require you to contact Garmin support.
