Does anybody else have any concerns about how Garmin Connect calculates calories used during an activity?
After a recent 53 minute ride at 14mph Garmin suggested that I had used 1,022 calories! This is absolutely great, but not very realistic and not very good for somebody who is trying to use Garmin to help them lose weight.

When (more like if) this activity syncs with MyFitnessPal it brings across the calorie deficit that GC has calculated instead of using the one that MFP suggests, which is 722 calories, Strava suggests 680 for comparison.
Now, I know I'm not using a HRM on this particular ride, and this might make it a bit more accurate, but how on earth can Garmin be so far out on this calculation compared to others? Especially when it's offering this data to other lifestyle web services?
