Ride not loading or uploading

I just did a ride where I rode to a course then started the course on the 510. Then when I returned to the point at which I joined and started the course I turned off the course on the 510, and finished the ride to where I started. This turned out to be quite a long ride with lots of climbing so I really want to see what I accomplished. Trouble is it is not loading on the 510 (gets stuck loading) and when I try to sync to Garmin Express it says it synced but nothing is there. Also, when I loaded it to Strava the ride started and ended where I followed the course, not the full ride.

I'll assume that something is wrong with the file. What do I look for and how do I fix it?

    hi Noctuidae,

    Fit File Repair Tool reported that your session ended abruptly as can be seen in this pic and that data records at the end of the recording are probably missing.

    There is also an issue towards the end of your file where there are large gaps in between your Timestamps which means you are missing a LOT of data records.

    I have had to delete all of those suspect data records in order to recover a meaningful ride for you - file.

    Thank you sir. I will try to upload the file and see what is left. So very disappointing as it was a tough ride. It is strange the the ride summary shows it to be on the 510 at 94 miles yet it will not load.

    Can some please assist me. My last 2 activities downloaded from my Forerunner 405 indicated that it uploaded to garmin connect but when I view garmin connect it is not there/visible. Unfortunately I had the box ticked that indicated that the activity will be deleted after transfer. So I do not have a second chance to upload. I have used ANT agent as I continuously get error messages from Garmin Express.

    Second question. Garmin Connect indicate that the software on my Forerunner 405 needs to be upgraded to version 2.80 and then there is an option to send the update to Garmin Express. When one check for updates it tells you version 2.50 is the latest version. Not sure what to do.

    Please help!! :confused:
