Wi-Fi sync

I am in the process of setting up my new 1000 bike computer. All has gone well but I cannot figure out the Wi-Fi set up. The device directs me to use Garmin Express and go to Garmin Connect. From there I do not see anything about Wi-Fi set up.
Any direction would be greatly appreciated.

According to page 9 of the manual, you can configure wifi from the device directly.

if you see the device in Garmin Express, I'm guessing that you should be able to find wifi configuration by selecting the device from the drop down on the left, and then click the Device link on the right.
