Laps/splits

When uploading my Garmin I used to get lap/split info for every mile I run. Since the website changed I no longer get this, I just get info for 1 lap, ie the whole run instead...not very useful!!

Has a setting changed I need to reset? Nothing obvious springs to mind

Cheers
  • Check your device. On Garmin Connect, or at least on the old Garmin Connect, the frequency of the laps was controlled by a setting on your device. I find laps less and less useful, segments as done on Strava and mapmyride are more useful for me. The modern Garmin Connect now does segments, but I have not used it enough on GC to say whether I like their version of it.
  • Yes. It sounds like you may have previously had the Auto Lap feature enabled with the distance set to 1 mile. Garmin Connect has never automatically added 1mi splits to activities, it has always displayed whatever was recorded by the device.

I am having the same issue as Photodave123- I just began using a new Forerunner 405 and had issues uploading to TC, which I really liked. Now on Connect, I can no longer find my lap times. I confirmed that my 405 is still set with the Auto Lap feature on 1 mi... but I can't find the data anywhere on the site. I like reviewing lap times to see how my times and HR progress during training. Where can we find this detail on Connect? They reference it in the Tour of the site...then never tell you how to find the data!
