Garmin Connect will not allow a proper PR to be assigned.

Garmin connect will not allow me to assign a proper PR:
I am trying to assign a PR from a run that I did yesterday. When i click on the "Assign PR" button and select 1km, my time from the entire run appears instead of the split time from my best km. Any ideas how to fix this issue?

This is how it works. Garmin Connect doesn't extract the fastest segment from your activity and treat that as a PR. It takes your entire activity, from the time you press Start to the time you press Stop, and treats that as the distance and time for your PR.

If you want your PR on Garmin Connect to be part of an existing activity, you'll have to export the data from Garmin Connect, trim it, and then upload the resulting data.
