Garmin 510 not connecting

My 510 is not connecting to my phone or to the computer to download this morning's ride. Bluetooth is on and the two devices are right next to each other. Tuesday's ride downloaded fine (and every day prior to that). The 510 and the phone (iphone 4S) both show that the phone is connected and then the download begins but then stops and I get the red banner across the bottom that reads "Sync Failed: Device connection error." Help!
