What's with all the recent spam?

The amount of spam seems to be getting worse and worse - time to update that registration captcha.

Just been hit by another massive batch of spam.

Without Garmin fixing up the registration process its a useless fight.

Interesting - I only subscribe to Garmin Swim, Connect and 610 forums and I have perhaps 1 spam in the forums every other day at most

Are you all subscribing to most of the main groups/headings?

I view by new posts - at the moment its impossible to use as there are pages and pages of spam.

how does one go about requesting/being granted moderator permissions to assist in removing this spam deluge? All I've been able to do is report them as spam but it would be good if I could assist with deleting the damn stuff as I come across it.
