Is there an alternative way to send courses / connect to device? Garmin Express wont work with my older Mac OS and machine can't take another OS upgrade.

If you go to the course details page, you should see a url similar to this...

http://connect.garmin.com/course/1016524

Take the number at the end (1016524 in this case) and plug it into one of these, and you can download a file for the course directly.

Okay, thanks for that.

For now, I've been using my phone to access course info and sync with device via bluetooth - seems to work.

Now if only you could actually rely on garmin devices to follow a course fully. I've yet to create a course that is 100% reliable offline in the real world. Not good if in unchartered territory...

I've always found that given the appropriate map/settings a Garmin will do as it's told, either by the user or the map :)
