Split segments on Garmin Connect course creation to edit route

Other online route creators have a helpful feature that allows you to click on a segment point on a route and split the following segment. It then randomly places a new point in the middle of that segment which allows you to move it and split additional segments so that you can edit a ride. In Garmin Connect course creation, it seems that you have to go to the end or the beginning and start deleting points and redraw. Awful on a 90 mile course that you want to add 10 miles to somewhere in the middle or worse, a couple of additional segments.

Not in my experience. If you move the cursor over the route line, the cursor will change to a hand with its index finger out and a white circle appear under the finger. When you see the circle, you can click (or click and drag) to add a point to your existing course.
  • I agree. It's a DREADFUL route editor, frustrating to manipulate, and having to switch between biking, hiking, and other modes to get the path to cling to the trails I WANT to ride on (away from the road). I think I'll have to export the course and edit it in a more capable APP and bring it back in to load it to my Garmin Edge.
