URGENT - Device turning it self off shortly after turning on?

last n:mad:ight I uploaded Garmin Express today I uploaded the software updates and still the device simply turns its self off after about 30 secs any ideas? I am half way through a trip awaiting your response.

What device are we talking about? Have you tried connecting it to the charger so you can check the battery status? It really sounds like the battery is too low.
