Vivofit heart rate readings

First off may i say i'm really pleased with my Vivofit.
Although the little red bar nags worse than my wife ;-)

I do have one very annoying issue.

When i'm finished a gym workout i take off my (Garmin) heart rate monitor to "stop" the workout, obviously i keep the Vivofit on. The problem is that the little heart icon still shows on the Vivofit, if i look at the heart rate view it still shows a reading (although the band is in my bag). This can last for 5 minutes or more.
This reading can be WAY off, normally very very high 240+ the problem is that this is included in the activity log sending the stats haywire.

Is there a better way of stopping a workout because i don't want to include the drive home from the gym to be included in the activity log.

I've tried exporting and editing the activity but it seams to screw up the file and fails to upload. I have attached the edited tcx file.

Please help, without this issue the Vivofit would be perfect.

Thanks in advance.

Steven
  • OK, i have edited the file in a different editor and i can now upload the activity.

  • When you are finished with your activity, with the Vivofit showing the heartrate screen, press and hold the button until it shows "Heart" and then "Off." That stops the hrm and effectively ends the activity.

Jill thanks very much for the reply, i shall give it a go tonight :-)
