update bike on new Garmin Connect

Have to say I'm disappointed with tne new Garmin Connect site. I'm mostly just commuting to work and back. I update my rides once a week. I didn't plan to spend 40 minutes installing software and trying to work out how the new site works.

The new site 'forgot' about my devices (Edge 800) that I've been using for years on this site. Really? I have to download a new client. That kind of sucks.

So I have one ride that I want to update the bike/equipment. I've ridden three different bikes this week. I like to keep track. I can't figure it out. It used to be a lot simpler.

This is a deal breaker for me. I'll try once again unless I get some support here. Otherwise I'm just going to concentrate on Strava which continues to innovate and improve. This update (forgetting my devices, not intuitively allowing me to edit my equipment, having to re-upload rides 3 times to get the rides captured) isn't really doing it for me.
  • Garmin Connect to my knowledge never had bike profile information nor any way of separating activities by what bike you road. That must have been on your device, though some don't use bike profiles.

As for using other sites, I use three others routinely. None of them are perfect, but they all do some things much better that makes it worth using them, including Garmin Connect.

As for "support"..... for all practical purposes this is a user to user help forum. If you need Garmin you need to go to the Garmin Support website.
