Wrong height

I use a Nüvi 2445 to navigate while driving.
When looking at the track logs in BC, I find that I've been driving below sea level.
This could be the case if I was in Netherlands, but this was in Sweden.

The trip started close to the beach, so I suppose the hight should be increased about 40m.
I get the same problem with american scale, just other numerical values.
  • this forum doesn't handle nuvi's. Try asking over at this place in their Garmin Nuvi forum GPSreviw

However if your nuvi model only uses gps to compute elevation, then gps is much less accurate in the vertical axis. If your nuvi has a barometric sensor, then it is affected by changing atmospheric pressure which can make it several thousand feet off.
