I've just spent 45 mins working out a new course and now it won't send it to my device-I've done it before
ANY IDEAS?
  • What device? What software are you using? Are you using the modern Garmin Connect, or the classic Garmin Connect? Do you have problems syncing activities to Garmin Connect? What have you tried?

Ok Thanks for replying. I am using an edge 200, using modzilla firefox. Not happy with modern connect went back to classic. I dont have problems dowloading rides and didnt, dowloading courses to the garmin but now it wont . I wonder if my device hasnt got the capacity for a 75 mile ride? What do you think?

    Here's what worked for me:
after trying every browser with no luck, reinstalled Garmin Express (no luck) then:
Switched back to "classic view" as opposed to "modern view" and was given a prompt by the website that said my "Garmin Communicator" was out of date. Reinstalled that. Website recognized the device. BUT...still not detected under modern view. Course was successfully sent to device in "classic view"
    Hope this helps someone.
  • Unfortunately, I'd try uninstalling Garmin Express, Garmin Communicator, and any cruft they left behind. I'd reboot, and reinstall Garmin Express. I would hope that would work, but it sounds like others are having similar problems with the Edge 200.

If you can connect your Edge 200 to your computer via USB, you should be able to get courses onto it without too much trouble. All you need to do is download the course as a tcx (instructions here), and then copy that file to the NewFiles folder on the USB storage used by your Edge (you should see a drive icon for it in Windows Explorer).
