Is there not a link near the top right that says 'switch to classic' or something like that? I've never switched to the 'modern' Garmin Connect, but I've read posts from others that suggest they can switch back and forth from new and old GC.
Well maybe they are finally turning off the old Garmin Connect. When I logged in to GC this morning it took me straight to the new GC. If I click on my siloutte at the left of the page a flyout panel has the option to "switch to classic temporarily". It still works for now, at least for me.
However I have to wonder what all the fuss has been about. I find everything I need there. Certainly it's different and you have to hunt a little, but I had to do that when I used the old GC for the first time. Not sure I'll ever install Garmin Express though. I'll just do "imports" of my data.

I hope they keep the option permanent. Reason for me is that it seems that courses will not upload into some devices with the Modern view. In my cases I can only get my courses to my Edge 200 with the Classic view. I installed the Garmin Express and it for me works great in conjunction with downloading my activities from Edge 200 using the modern view, though.
