Forerunner 10, Modern Connect, and Calorie accuracy

I use my forerunner 10 for both running and tracking my rides to work in order to get more accurate calorie out data for use with My Fitness Pal.
Since the forerunner 10 doesn't have a Cycle mode that means when my bike activities are first uploaded they appear as runs. I then manually edit the activities to be bike rides, all is good in the world. However, I can't figure out if Garmin readjusts the active calories from my bike rides.

Does Garmin Connect recalculate calories when I manually change the activity type from running to cycling?

Are things like elevation change accounted for in the estimated calories burned? (My bike commute home is all downhill)

I manually update my weight on a regular basis, is this information pushed to my forerunner 10 when I sync it?
If not, does Garmin Connect adjust the calories burned to reflect my most recent weight input? (assuming I input the weight on GC BEFORE the activity)

Thanks!

Ps. I realize its possible no one knows the answers to these questions other than the software engineers that wrote all the code.

Vivofit calorie burn algorithms reported up to connect are very primitive. Compared to the Fenix 2 (as well as Body media), for me, strength training and running are often reported at 2x the calories of the other devices even when using a HRM. Very frustrating. I call it VivoFAT if you follow its calorie guidance for weight control.
