Garmin plugin w windows 8

Does anyone know what the trick is with windows 8 and uploading data to garmin connect? We have downloaded the plug in program several times. The next day when we plug in the garmin 510 it tells us again that the garmin plug in program needs to be downloaded.

Don't download the Garmin Communicator Plugin. You should be using Garmin Express for your uploads.
