Garmin Connect Web can't share the route...

can't share the route...

after i created the route.. i share the link with my friends and when they click on it.. it show:

Error
Sorry, but it appears that an error occurred.
What To Do Now?
Refresh this page
Hit the back button on your browser and try the action again
Return to this page in a few minutes
Contact Customer Support

also... on some section of the map, GC shows there's a bike path, but when i plot the route on that road, it reroutes it like crazy. WTH? i would have to uncheck "stay on road" just to plot and then check back the "stay on road".

i'm using it on my 810 for cycling.

EDIT: now i'm pissed.. i just spend the last 40 mins creating a 100 miles ride for this weekend.. and when i click saved.. i get a freaking ERROR message. :mad: anyone else having this issue?

same issue here with sharing courses. Firefox, chrome, IE, all the same

ES136: damn.. sucks to hear there are others in the same boat as i am. :( i bought the 810 because of these features... and now.. it seems dead in the water and no one from Garmin to chime in on a solution...

I had no problem setting up a 120mi route for my weekend ride, and I had no problem sharing it with myself via e-mail. If the sharing button is a problem, just don't use it. All you need to do is copy/paste the url from your browser's address bar.

Travis, i just tried sharing it with myself and doesn't work. it's already been set as public course but still doesn't work.

maybe it worked because you were still logged into garmin connect. i've asked my other friends to try and view the link, they all could not. they can't even see the ones they've created themselves once they are logged out.

Time to use somthing else then Connect. There's lot's of options.

LANGE_666: besides the ridewithgps (thanks for the PM), which other ones have you tried that is good? i use to use strava till they decided to charge members a premium to have certain functions. :(

You are right. I was still logged in. I am able to reproduce the problem if I log out. Sorry for the confusion.

here is a workaround so you don't have be logged in. add "embed" to your link before sharing. so your link changes from http://connect.garmin.com/course/7329585 to this http://connect.garmin.com/course/embed/7329585
