Shared links to workouts in metric

Hello all. I am set up in Garmin Connect in statute units, not metric. When I share a link, friends with Garmin accounts who are not first logged in to Garmin Connect see it in metric, but people who are first logged in see it in statute. Sometimes friends see a Japanese kanji translation of my workout summary added to the end of the summary.

When I share a link to my Facebook running group, the headline that gets auto generated is also in metric.

Is this a know issue lately?

Stephen

Edit: for friends not logged into Garmin connect or who don't have an account, the view in statute/view in metric links don't change anything. Everything stays in metric.

I have the exact issue described above.

Example: I can share a ride to myself via email and get two different results.

    1. If I am logged out of Garmin Connect I see the ride in metric (and one time in Italian.) If I share with anyone not logged into Garmin Connect they view the data in metric.
    2. If I am logged in, everything is in statute, the way I have it set.

    Thanks.

    Hi!
I'm having a similar problem, whenever I link (hyperlink or jsut pasting url) to an email, the link opens in metric, and most of the text is in another language. Even when I click "statute" it doesn't update.
Is there a default setting I'm missing somewhere?

Same problem, but no language issues...so far.

    Same issue

I am having the same issues as well. When I click on the link that I posted on Facebook, it comes up displaying the run in metric and in Spanish.

This is what I ran into recently as well.

I love the way Garmin is responding to this thread so quickly (NOT).

  • I experience this issue the other way around. I have set my settings in Garmin Connect to "Metric", but when I post a link on Facebook, the link leads to a workout overview in "imperial" unit-settings.
