Hi. My watch finds signal, however goes to auto pause within a block and I am unable to get it to actually work outside of auto pause. I am also unable to update software on my garmin connect. Anyone else having this problem?

It might help if you told us what device you are using, what firmware version it is on, and accessories you may be connecting to.
