After syncing my vivofit, my total steps update in the "Today" window right away, but in the Weekly Leaderboard and the Steps Reports, they do not update right away. I have a wait a long time and refresh many times for the data to finally update. This is very annoying.
I uploaded my steps and it updated the "today" area but failed to update the leaderboard in my challenge. It also does not show in my graph of the last 7 days.
I just uploaded again, after midnight, and my steps from today did update my leaderboard challenge and my 7 day graph.
I've lost over 12,000 steps towards my challenge yesterday AND lost my 14 day streak.
Garmin.... PLEASE FIX THIS.
This is a key part of your service offering! There is NO POINT is having an activity tracker that does not report properly! Last week it took 3 days before my I got my new challenge. What is going on with Garmin?
I have the same problem. I've just reported it at E-mail Product Support.
Perhaps if you do it too, we might get it fixed.
Edited to add: Looking at another thread here, I've just found that the system Status page shows that Reports is having a problem. It would be more sensible of Garmin to make that a big button at the top rather than a tiny text link at the bottom of the page, next to Help.
I checked the system status page, and it simply states that there are "some delays in sleep and steps reports" -- my steps from today and yesterday are showing and calculated in my challenge total, but Friday (day before yesterday) shows 0 steps. This delay is pretty random.
I'm about ready to throw my vivo in the lake and buy a fitbit alta. I don't say that because I'm a bot or trying to sell them or anything, I say that because I've been doing my research to find a new product after this one continually fails me. I LOVE garmin GPS systems and have recommended them to several people. My mistake for assuming they had good products across the board.
I am majorly, majorly disappointed. I work too hard for my money for this. I bought this product SPECIFICALLY for this functionality. The screen is partially burned out, too. Did you know it costs 80 dollars to get a repair done? I'd rather buy a new one (from a different company!) for that price. I feel very let down.
They can't even have a way to manually enter this information when this happens? This isn't some one time error... this happens all the time! Just, UGH.
Three lessons learned here:
1. Always keep your receipts
2. Don't assume a company that is good at one product is good at anything else
3. If a product working consistently is important to you, check online that it works consistently. It's so sad that that has to be a "lesson learned." Shame on me for assuming the product works as advertised, right??
I have had the same problem for the last 2 days of it not updating. Other people in my group and in my challenges theirs are updating. So why is it only a select few of us?
yeah seconded about looking for a new product i think.
had my steps from yesterday been counted then i would have won the 85k challenge by 9000 steps, my local one by the same.
it would have also pushed my daily average for the week to 15,000 steps and been my first 100 000 + week
it cant be that hard to fix
