SWIM + 410 + Edge 705

Hi,

I thought I nailed it but ... not really !

I have a Garmin Swim, a Forerunner 410 and an Edge 705.

The first question I had was if I could connect all three to my MAC using only ONE ANT+ stick.

My tests so far are that I have to connect my Edge 705 with the USB cable.
And my Swim and 410 can share the same ANT+ stick (provided my SWIM watch).
But, My watches keep disappearing from my Garmin Express ... And updating the watches (sending data from the MAC) are always failing ...

Has anyone been able to manage different watches on the same computer? Was it done by using specific USB cable / stick per each units?

Thank you
  • As you've discovered, you can use one ANT+ stick for the 410 and Swim devices. This is fine. Unfortunately, the 705 must connect via USB. It isn't built to transfer files over ANT+ like the Swim and 410 are.

I can't explain why your devices would disappear from Garmin Express. It sounds like maybe the configuration information is getting lost or overwritten somehow, but I'm not really in any position to even guess since I'm not an OSX user. Perhaps you would be best off to post to the Garmin Express - Mac forum. Someone there may be able to help.

FYI, I've had no problem using a FR910XT and a FR610 with the same ANT+ stick on a PC for about two years.
