Garmin Connect not seeing my device plugged into Garmin Express

I never had a problem with the 'classic' Garmin connect - now the modern connect is being a pain.
I've got an Edge 200. It is connected to my computer with the USB. Garmin Express is installed and running with latest application update. Garmin Express 'sees' the GPS devices. However, the modern Garmin Connect dashboard display does not recognize the device being plugged in. It tells me to get Garmin Express and hook up my GPS device...but it already is.
How do I get these two Garmin programs to talk to each other so they understand that the GPS is plugged in?:confused:
  • Have you tried to remove the Edge 200 from Garmin Express (and remove it from Garmin Connect when prompted) and re-add it?

    I have the same problem with the new interface not seeing my Garmin 200 watch. It's plugged in and I am not able upload or "sync" the new activities. My Edge 705 is the only device the new interface can see.
  • Have you tried to remove the Edge 200 from Garmin Express (and remove it from Garmin Connect when prompted) and re-add it?

    If you select the device from the dropdown on the left and click the Device button on the right, you should see a picture of your device. Next to that picture will be a link to Delete Device from Express. Click that and remove the device. When prompted, opt to remove the device from Garmin Connect. Once you've done that, click the dopdown again and choose Add New Device and follow the steps to add your device to Garmin Express (and Garmin Connect).

    If you are afraid to remove/add the device in Garmin Express, you may be able to do it directly through the Garmin website. I'm assuming that if you go here you won't be able to see your device in the list. If that is the case, you might be able to go here to register your device with Garmin.

    My Garmin 210 (not 200) is registered,

    However I cannot get it to show in Launch Express or Garmin Connect

    What am I doing wrong?
  • If the device doesn't appear in Garmin Express, have you tried adding it? Click the device selection dropdown box in Garmin Express, and choose Add New Device. Follow the steps to add your device to Garmin Express.

    Hi
    I was having the same problems and followed these instructions - deleted and reinstalled my Garmin 200 via Garmin Express - and Garmin connect has now synced with the device.

    The problem I'm now having is I've designed a course and when I click "send to device" it states "no compatible device found".
    Can anyone please assist.
