Tracking shoe mileage

Hello! I use both connect and Nike plus. I don't actually like Nike plus but a lot of my friends who don't have garmin devices use it and I love the fact that you can track your mileage on each pair of sneakers. Would it be possible to start tracking shoe mileage in connect?

I just sync to Strava as well using tapiriik since Strava automatically tracks your gear.

My first post referenced a thread from Motionbased (remember that?) while we were in transition to the new Garmin forum. So at least since 2009.

It's strange that Gamin has not implemented this simple feature yet, this is a long lasting anticipated feature that's so simple to implement ..
