Garmin Express issues

I am having massive issues with Garmin express. Once it is installed (which it seems to ask me to do on a regular basis) it will not install the software updates as "device connection required" appears. This is despite knowing that it is connected. Now it will not upload my latest run while it has simultaneously got rid of the ANT icon. I never had this problem with the old system.
I emailed Garmin about this a while ago (twice), and got no reply.
This is on a mac.
Anyone else with the same problem?

I don't have that problem, I don't use Garmin Express. If I ever decide to use the new Garmin Connect, I'll just do manual imports of my data. Garmin Express just seems too much like the start of Garmin saying my device and data belongs to them and they'll tell me who and how I can use it.
