I rode the Triple Bypass in Colorado last Saturday, here is a link to the data: http://connect.garmin.com/activity/541815283# There are several errors in the activity report. 1. Ride length was 117 miles, only shows the last 60 miles on Elevation, Heart Rate, etc. 2. Shows a time of 8:59 but a moving time of only 4:09, moving time should be 9 hours to match average speed of 13 mph which is correct. 3. I put in several laps for each climbing portion of the ride, only 1 lap shows up and the split time doesn't match the summary. 4. When I download the same Garmin data locally to Ascent for Mac it only shows up as a 61 mile ride. Any help with this issue would be most appreciated. Firmware is up to date.
Can you attach the .fit file from the ride in a reply?
I exported the .tcx file from your link and it only contains approx 61miles worth of data. Fingers crossed the .fit file will contain all 117miles of data and I will be able to use the Fit File Repair Tool to sort out any issues like moving time not showing correctly.
Unfortunately I don't have a lot of good news for you - that .fit file does only contain 61miles worth of data values. The first recorded data value is at 1227pm which looking at the .fit file name is 3hr06mins after you started. I have no idea what has happened to that 3hrs06mins worth of initial data.
As for the difference between your elapsed time and your moving time, it would appear that your Edge800 is issuing 'stop all' commands and there are gaps of up to 4mins plus before a 'start' command is issued - as can be seen in this pic and this pic.
Can I suggest that you check under 'Bike Settings' and then 'Auto Pause' what speed that the Auto Pause is set for. This may cure the above issue.
Finally - here is the file with the data that I have been able to recover.
Thank you VERY much for your help. With all the missing data, how did the Garmin still record the correct miles 117, climbing 10,899, and correct average speed of 13 mph. Thanks again for your help.
