Want; Run Cool-Down feature

I love my new Fenix2. I've used it primarily for running and the features like VO2 max, recovery time, and viewing the run data in Garmin connect are great!.
However, there seems to be one glaring feature omission..
...I'm unable to designate a portion of my run as cool-down time. Maybe as an option when I hit the start button, in addition to the "pause" option on my watch? maybe as a feature in Garmin Connect?

Why do I want cool down as a feature?
1. I want to see how quickly my heart rate falls off, as this is a good health/fitness indicator
2. I want to track my cool-down activity but don't want it to effect my run/race stats
3. I don't want my cool down to be calculated into average pace, run cadence, heart rate, etc. for the run details and there's no way in Garmin connect to separate this segment after the fact.

So, even if we can't get the feature on any of the devices, it would be nice to be able to go into Garmin Connect, select a point in the run where we can see the cool-down started, and be able to split the segment off as the run cool-down.

On a related note, sometimes you want to combine two runs into one (you accidentally hit stop), or trim something unrelated off the front if you accidentally started before your run. the ability to combine and trim results from either end would be an awesome addition to the Garmin Connect interface.
