I have a heap of workouts on my Forerunner 910XT. Is there a way to transfer them to Garmin Connect so that I can share the workouts with other devices?
I don't know of any way to get the data off of the device and into Garmin Connect. It seems that the only way to do it is to create the workouts in Garmin Connect and then transfer them to each device. That said, you may be able to transfer the workout files from your 910XT to another device outside of Garmin Connect.
If you are using the ANT Agent, every device has a folder for all of its data. On Windows systems, this folder is in %AppData%\Garmin\Devices\<DeviceId>. Within that folder you should be able to find a Workouts folder that contains all of the .fit files for the workouts on your device. Copying these to the NewFiles folder within the device folder for another device should allow you to transfer them.
I've looked through all of the data in Garmin Express and I'm not seeing anything that would allow you do do this using that software.
Thanks for you help Travis. Played around a bit. But can't get connect to recognize the files. If I want them in connect then I think I will have to recreate them.
