Map always shows Olathe, KS. No track. No graphs.

I'm using Chrome Version 35.0.1916.153 on Mac OS X 10.9.3. When I load activities, they always look like the attachment.

  • Probably not a browser issue. It's likely that your activity upload has no gps position information in it. If you are using a fitness device, I'd recommend that you post in the subforum for that device and attach an activity file or two and ask someone to look at it. If your device provides .tcx or .gpx files, then you should be able to view them with a simple text editor. They contain tags similar to html and other markup files. You should be able to figure out which tags are the gps data. But if you don't see the position info, then again, that's why no map track. Without knowing your device, I can't offer anything else.
  • Correct; not a browser issue. This is happening with old GPX tracks uploaded over a year ago. They used to work fine. http://connect.garmin.com/activity/233073414 is an example. If I use Export and download a GPX file from Garmin Connect, I can load it in TopoFusion (for example), and it looks fine. It has correct GPS position and timing information.
  • What happens if you download the activity as a tcx (download the gpx while you're at it), delete the activity from Garmin Connect, and then manually upload/import the tcx/gpx file?
  • Why would I do that?

Are any of you actually employees of Garmin? If not, how do I get official support?
  • Why would I do that?

You would do that in an attempt to get your map/track data back.

No. These forums are mostly a peer-to-peer support group. If you want to speak to someone from Garmin, you need to use one of their official support channels.
