eTrex30 (v3.80): device freezes when opening geocaching details or hints

as mentioned in the title....

I updated to software 3.80, copied a large GPX file onto the device (internal memory/Garmin/GPX). When I select a geocache and try to view the description or the hint, the display will turn off. The device still beeps when pressing button or using the joystick, but the display remains turned off. Only solution is to turn it off and on again

You’ve posted this in the Garmin Connect forum which has nothing to do with your query. Sorry but unfortunately as yet there isn't a forum here for device issues like this. Please contact Product Support
