610 Won't upload new activities

I have a Garmin Forerunner 610 and haven't had any problems until recently. Garmin Express says it has synced with my 610, but my new workouts are not uploaded into Garmin Connect. I have followed all of the instructions on the Garmin site for trouble shooting the lack of upload and even removed and then re-paired the device with Garmin Express and I still can't get them to upload. It recognizes and sees my device, my device says transferring data, but still no new data in Garmin connect. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Any luck with this? I'm having exactly the same issue and did all of the same things.
  • This was taken from another post by Garmin Support. I've added to it and modified it slightly to make things more clear. It may help you, I don't know.

    • Ensure that the ANT Agent and Garmin Communicator Plugin are uninstalled.
      • Press WIN+R (hold the Windows Key, press the R key, then release both keys)
      • Type this exactly, appwiz.cpl
      • Click OK
      • Look for Garmin ANT Agent in the program list. If you find it, click it and click the Remove button (or Uninstall in the table header).
      • Look for Garmin Communicator Plugin in the program list. If you find it, click it and click the Remove button (or Uninstall in the table header).
      • Close the Add-Remove Programs tool.

    • Delete the device from Garmin Express
      • Start Garmin Express
      • Select the problem device from the dropdown box on the left.
      • Click the Device link on the right.
      • Next to the image of the device, you should see a link to Delete Device From Express. Click that link.
      • Choose to Remove from Garmin Connect
      • Click Confirm

    • Delete the %AppData%\Garmin\Devices\<DeviceId> folder
      • Press WIN+R (hold the Windows Key, press the R key, then release both keys)
      • Type this exactly, %AppData%
      • Click OK
      • Open the Garmin folder
      • Open the Devices folder
      • Delete the numbered folder (unit id of the fitness device)

    • Delete the %ProgramData%\Garmin\LegacyProxy\<DeviceId> folder
      • Press the WIN+R (hold the Windows Key, press the R key, then release both keys)
      • Type this exactly, %ProgramData%
      • Click OK
      • Open the Garmin folder
      • Open the LegacyProxy folder
      • Delete the numbered folder (unit id of the fitness device)

    • Restart the computer
    • Install the ANT Stick
    • Pair the device
    • Create a short 1 minute test activity on your device
    • Start Garmin Express, select your device from the dropdown, and press the Sync Now button.

Do the 610 instructions also apply to my 405? Also, I'm on a Mac...?
  • No, the instructions won't apply to a Mac.
  • Another possibility is that the Garmin Connect account associated with your device is not the one you are expecting. In Garmin Express, select your device from the dropdown, then click Device. Scroll down and verify the Garmin Connect account is correct. You might even try re-entering the account information just to be sure. If that doesn't work, you might try removing the device from Garmin Express and re-pairing it.

    610 driving me nuts

Sorted mine , I downloaded version 3 of garmin express removed the latest one and my activities have synced

ran 15 miles today and run won't upload, the history on the watch itself shows 15 miles but when I open it there are no laps or distance or anything in there and then the watch switches off. Do you think I should delete and reinstall garmin express or is it a watch issue? Anyone with any thoughts would be appreciated

I'm having the same problem today too. It was fine earlier this week, but today when I synched it appears that the synch was successful in my Garmin Connect Express app but it doesn't show up in the web Garmin Connect.

I'm very frustrated with Garmin Express. Will not sync today with my 610 and garmin connect. Unsure how many times I need to reload Garmin Express as the Garmin connect does not recognize it today. I have not changed anything with computer set up. Any ideas before i ditch the Garmin experience and move on. I do ultras and the data maters to me. Thank for letting me vent.
