HRM Strap problems

I bought a Frorerunner 620 together with the latest HRM six month ago and everything worked fine until about two weeks ago.

I washed the strap as per instructions (ues, I took the monitor off before), but now the monitor reports incorrect/or sometimes no HR.

As my wife has the same watch I used her strap and everything is ok, so it's definitely the strap.

Have reset the strap by putting the monitor in upside down, so not sure what else I can try.

Have always been very careful not to bend the strap.

Should still be under warranty if it's only six months old. Get with Garmin Support.

I don't know how they are making the new version of the soft strap, but I have what I think is the second version. I've only removed the pod three times in the three years that I've had it. I may well be wrong, but I consider the snaps going into the strap to be the 'weak link' in the design.

I do rinse my strap under running water after every use and then pull it through a towel to dry it.
