New Modern UI isn't detecting my device

I've not been able to get the new Modern UI to detect my Garmin Forerunner 210 which means I'm not able to upload any activities stored on it.

Currently the only way this is possible is by reverting to the old UI. This is fine for me at the moment but worries me as to what might happen when the old UI is gone.

    Note that the instructions aren't super clear and assume that you are using Windows. The first #1 and second #2 tell what you are going to do, and the steps that follow explain how to do it. It should be...


    • Delete the contents of the C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Roaming\Garmin\Devices
      • Press the Windows Key + R key together
      • Type this exactly, %Appdata%
      • Click OK
      • Open the Garmin folder
      • Open the Devices folder
      • Delete the numbered folder (unit id of the fitness device)


    • Delete the contents of the LegacyProxy folder located in C:\ProgramData\Garmin\LegacyProxy folder
      • Press the Windows Key + R key together
      • Type this exactly, %Programdata%
      • Click OK
      • Open the Garmin folder
      • Open the LegacyProxy folder
      • Delete the numbered folder (unit id of the fitness device)


    • Restart the computer
    • Pair the device and creating a couple of short 1 min test activities.
