Garmin Modern - How can I 'explore' other people's activities?

Hi all,

In the classic view I often go to 'explore', 'activities' to search for routes of races that I'm thinking of doing. Or for routes if I'm somewhere new.
I can't see a way to do this in the new modern view - can anyone help?

I too am confused by this,

Just tried looking for it myself as i'm sure it was there at one point.

However if you make sure you log into garmin connect and then in a new webpage go here, http://connect.garmin.com/modern/explore

it will bring you into the place where you can explore other peoples public activities

It's in the gear menu on the Activities panel.

Well, but is there, anywhere, also a chance to explore activities by a location? In the Classic UI it was here: Explore - Activities - Starting near: - Current Map View. I didn't find it in Modern UI and I'm missing it...

Follow the directions above (click the gear on the activities widget and choose Explore), or click the magnifying glass in the activities widget. The page you end up on is almost exactly the same as the one you see in the classic Garmin Connect.

Thank you for your prompt help! Finally I've find it, previously I tried to find it somewhere in the left menu or in the Activities in the full page mode, not at a dashboard. Newcomer in the Modern style...

A little bit of clarification for those out there like me who overlooked something.
I read

"It's in the gear menu on the Activities panel."

The activities panel is on the dashboard... I overlooked that...
After much head scratching and exploring and assuming I am overlooking something, and searching all the options in the menu on the left which it's where it was before things went "modern", I found it.
Obviously I could follow the link in the earlier post - http://connect.garmin.com/modern/explore
However I wanted to find it in the menu.
Here's how...

how to find others in modern version of Garmin

It's in the gear menu on the Activities panel.

I found it in the Connections piece on the Activities panel. Once you go there you can choose to "find people"

Did Garmin remove this option finally? Can't find it anywhere now.
