Activities gone!

Hello,

All my activities are gone (hundreds). Only 3 of 2007 remain...
Should I worry?

Thanks
  • If you didn't save them to your PC or Mac, then yes you should be worried. I wouldn't trust the safekeeping of my data to anyone other than myself. I routinely save the activities from my device to my pc with just the click of an icon on my desktop that runs a small batch program to copy them from my device to the hard drive on my pc.

If it is the activities in Garmin Connect that are missing, then call or log an issue on the Garmin Support website. Although I believe that I have seen some post in the past where activities that went missing on Garmin Connect did show back up at a later date. Don't remember if Garmin Support was involved. Let us know what the result is............

If it is the activities on your device that are missing, then you are likely S.O.L. If you use an ant stick there may be a copy of them already on your pc/mac somewhere. Check in the Ant Agent and Garmin Express forums to find out where they get stuck or just do a search for .fit, .tcx, .gpx or whatever file type the activity files from your device come in.

Thanks for your reply. I have several years of garmin activities, and trusted garmin to keep them :(
Thank god I recently found an automatically way to sync all activities from garmin to strava and runkeeper, I don't have to do nothing. They are all there :)

I'll try Support like you suggested. I'll post when I have somthing new.

    Thank you

Can´t contact support, says something about woirldwide and loops to the first screen.
Strange is that my iphone app "connect" seem to have all info...
  • You might need have your device registered on the myGarmin site. Also you likely need to be logged into the support site using your myGarmin login (at the top of page).

I've had issue with their support site not keeping me logged in throughout the process and when I clicked submit, I loose the description of the issue. So I've made it a habit at Garmins and other sites that use a similar process to copy my remarks to the clipboard, then log back in so I can fill out the form before my login times out again.

I'm using the US support site. Don't know if it's different for other regions/countries.
