Adding device to Garmin Connect (Modern)

I've updated to the "modern" version of Garmin Connect and installed Garmin Express. I've added my Etrex 30 on Garmin Express but under the "device" tab on Garmin Connect it still says "You have no device on Garmin Connect. Add a device using Garmin Express." At the moment I'm unable to upload activities from my device.

    Now I realise I can't send activities to the device either. Should I have done something to make my Garmin Connect connect with my Garmin Express?

    I have a Garmin Forerunner 210 and have the same problem in "Modern". I have Garmin Express which recognizes my device, but cannot get the Garmin connect in "Modern" to recognize, sync, or download my data. I have to switch to the old version to upload my data. Anyone from Garmin out there with help?

    Same problem.
    In "modern" Garmin Connect User Interface, the app doesn't identify my Etrex 30 (with last update 3.90).
    At Garmin Express my Etrex 30 already has connected but... the icon that appears left his name is grey (like disable with several devices) with a question mark "?"
    Garmin team: any sugestion?

    I've had this response today from Garmin Product Support:- "Please note that Etrex 30 is not compatible with Garmin Connect therefore the device won't appear in the registered devices."

    I've a similar problem. Both my Edge 810 and my Forerunner 610 are shown on Express but I can only see the Edge 810 on Connect. Express uploads the new activities to Connect but it's as if they appear by magic as far as Connect is concerned. If I try and "switch device" it shows only the Edge 810. I've tried emailing support and as usual I got a less than helpful response. Has anybody discovered a way to manually add a device to Connect? I just don't understand why Garmin haven't sorted these sorts of issues out. The entire web is full of people complaining. No wonder Suunto and other manufacturers seem to be selling more and more of their devices. I'm seriously considering dumping Garmin and starting again with someone else.
  • Have you tried removing the FR610 from Garmin Express (selecting the option to remove it from Garmin Connect when doing so) and then re-adding the device?

    Thanks for the suggestion. Yes, I've tried removing everything and starting again but it still only seems to show one device on Connect.

    Same problem. Etrex 30. Cost me $350. Can see it in Express but it isn't recognised by Connect. What a rip off!

    Garmin connect sees only my Virb Elite, but doesnt connect my Oregon 650! What the hell?!
