Strava upload problem with new Garmin Express

I am really upset with this new Garmin Express update. Garmin, you failed to warn me that if I chose to update my Garmin Connect with the new Garmin Express, I would lose the ability to sync to Strava and Dailymile. There is no way I want to live only within your Garmin Connect garden. I know you are going to suggest a number of work around but that represents additional steps and tech savvy knowledge.

If you are a Strava user, be careful about updating to Garmin Express.
  • Plenty of posts in the forum about this together with suggestions always pays to search.

At the end of the day, Garmin has no obligation to provide communication with 3rd party providers, especially those who charge.

Complain to Strava and get them to get the connections reinstated. If Tapiriik can provide seamless synching then Strava should be able to as well.

BTW, I use Tapiriik to synch with Strava and Training Peaks. It is actually easier than before because the transfers happen direct from GC without me having to instigate anything at the other sites.
  • I wish I had read some reviews myself before upgrading to Garmin Express as well. I can no long sync with my free dailymile account where I track much more than my 405 can record. Sorry I upgraded. Hopefully Garmin will fix this flaw. I agree. Caution to Dailymile.com users when upgrading to Garmin Express.
  • Philipshambrook, can you provide the suggestions to get my info to snyc with Dailymile as I have been doing for years? I have not found "plenty of posts" about this. Thanks
