I don't understand the vitriol. Nobody even bothers to ask how to do something, they just complain and make threats. Grow up.
The Communicator Plugin is no longer supported by Garmin. It isn't directly compatible with Garmin Express. There are workarounds. Yes, this makes it a little more difficult to get your activity data into Running Ahead, but it does work. Assuming you are using a Windows PC, Garmin Express copies the activity data files to a folder inside C:\ProgramData\Garmin\GarminConnect. If you are using a Mac, the files are there, I just don't know the directory that they are in. You should be able to upload those files to any service that accepts .fit files, including Running Ahead.
Go to RA on the main forums page. Page down until you get to Technical Support. Peruse that forum. Chances are Eric Smiley has addressed this problem, or is in the process of doing so. He actually will answer your question, so maybe ask it there.
Thanks, flarunner. Travis, you grow up. If you haven't noticed, I'm not the only one annoyed by your new site.
But there's likely many more who read the forum posts, work how to deal with changes and move on.
If you want to use your Garmin with 3rd party sites then you need to badger those sites to get them to work with Garmin. It's not for Garmin to provide the means, especially if some of those 3rd party sites are charging.
Garmin works with Garmin. And by and large it does, at least in my experience over the past 5 years or so with devices from the FR305 forward on Windows and Macs. Yes people do have problems and that's why this forum is here to help users help users. Sadly, some people just do not like to be helped or just abuse those who do try to help.
I find it much simpler to interface with Garmin software as little as possible. I use Uploader to upload my Garmin data to my Android phone. From there it allows me to upload to various services such as GarminConnect, RunningAhead, SportTracks, TrainingPeaks, etc, etc.
