Sync Problem - Post Edge 1000 Firmware 2.3 update

I'm getting a sync issue with GC, coincidentally this occurs following my update of my Edge 1000 to firmware 2.3, so perhaps its connected in some way but not noticed any other complaints in the Edge 1000 forum.

Here is a screenshot of the error message I'm getting

I connect via USB and don't use an Ant Stick, so I'm not sure why its expecting to see one. The device appears to be connected ok, but just the sync that is not working for some reason?

Anyone got any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Unplug garmin usb cable
Uninstall Garmin Express
Reboot computer
Download latests Garmin Express from Garmin site
Install Garmin Express
Use original garmin usb cable to connect

Is edge memory visible as drive in "my computer"?

Yes, I am seeing all the folders I would normally expect to see.

Also the device is showing as "connected" in Garmin Express. So it is seeing the device, the issue is with Sync.

Now resolved by doing a reset ie hold both Lap and Start, then power on. Had to set everything up again from new, but I'm sync'ing again now. Thanks for the help.

Once I reset and resync will all of my rides be transferred back to Edge 1000 from the Connect website? Thanks!!

No I don't believe so.

I think you will lose your rides from the E1000, but assuming you have them uploaded to GC first, you will have them in GC. Personally I don't see any need to keep them on the E1000.
