Awful. Terrible to navigate and I hate that I cannot see my last few activities at once on the new dashboard unless I scroll back and forth. I still can't figure out how to see the full detail of my activity with charts from the dashboard - brings me to the activities grid, then I have to click the activity. The other dashlets are fairly useless. Calendar is only useful if it's full screen so why include it on the dashboard?? Fill space I guess.

It seems like the website disappeared, was taken over by a mobile site, which looks completely ridiculous on a desktop. Epic fail. I may have to give up my Garmin in favor of something else.

I read the post. Firstly, Travis asked for a description of what was on the page - so I've given a description of the page.
Travis concluded that it was a browser plug-in issue.
I'm running two browsers (Google & Firefox) and neither have plug-ins. I therefore disagree with that conclusion. I've instead proposed a different hypothesis - that the contents pages are not displaying because they are still downloading, or the download is timing out but not displaying an error message.
I'm therefore speculating that the developers didn't test the platform on slow internet connections or on slow hardware.

Well how 'slow' is yours? Does it ever finish downloading? If not then I suggest that's not the issue :confused:

Have you tried IE?

Travis' tip seems to cure most folks problems, but not yours it seems.

Tried the 'Modern' version today for the first time. Talk about hard work. Why in the alphabetical list on the left isn't there an option for dashboard. That was nice and simple, and gave you a brief synopsis of your activities. Sometimes all we want is simple, and not indepth and complicated. I know they are trying to compete with Strava, but evolution, is better than revolution. I haven't got the time or patience to try and work out the 'modern' version, so I'll leave mine in classic, and hopefully in 6mnths Garmin will have got their act together.

Just tried the Modern version, really hard to find anything. Anyway there's a few things that don't work:

1. There's no upload button, I couldn't find out where to upload my latest ride.

2. It says that I have no device, despite having my garmin plugged in a working OK. I switched back to Classic and it works perfectly.

3. I like to track my weight, I've been tracking my weight reduction over the years, the new version only track back a year, I'd like it to save everything.

For the time being I'll be using the Classic view.

ok i finally figured it out... so hover over the icons along the left side of page.... then instead of clicking on one of them go to the right side where the arrow is and hover over that.... then a tab will apear and say "Add to Dashboard" just click and all is good... it took for ever for me to figure this out and im fairly young and used to using computers and figuring this stuff out... but there just isn't enough info in the "Help / Video"s menu... but now that i figured it out im ok with this modern look.

What exactly do you man that 'nothing shows up'? Do you get a blue page with some icons along the left edge and nothing else? If so, chances are good that you are using a browser plugin (adblock, ghostery) that is blocking the contents of the page. If you add garmin.com to the list of whitelisted sites, it will probably start displaying correctly.

So features that I am using for privacy(e.g. disconnect, ghostery, donottrackme, etc.) have to be disabled for the new, step backwards, interface to work? Most important sites that I use that require accounts work fine without disabling all privacy filters.

What cookies and information are you storing/tracking on our pc's and tablets?

Garmin Connect - Modern Mode Does Not Work

When switching to Garmin Connect - Modern Mode, no data/detail is displayed. Unable to switch back and use previous version and it is now automatically taking me to Modern Mode. Garmin Connect is now rendered useless for me.

hmm i went to download my run from this morning..i have a forerunner 110 and it showed that i could download but when i clicked to download nothing happens? i had no problems two days ago..hmm perhaps its the new modern look etc people are talking about and having problems with? only thing i can view is my previous runs/connections etc but unable to download new activity now :(
