importing gpx or csv files

Sorry if someone has already asked this question but I couldnt see one so I might be the first.

What I would like to know is can I import gpx or csv files to my Connect account.

Up to now I've been using an app on my iphone to record my run and cycling data and then uploading to the apps website to annalyze it.

I've now got an Edge 200 for my cycling and would like to add my old data so that i can continue to annalyze.
The app I'm using can export csv and gpx files. Its also exports KML and TCX files.

How do I import my old data?

Garmin Connect can import FIT, GPX and TCX format files. It is kinda picky about what it allows to upload, and it doesn't support batch upload of multiple files. If you go to the activities page, there is an Import link near the top-right corner of the page. Click that, then select your file.

You might look at Tapiriik to see if they support the service that you were previously using. If they do, you can use that service to copy activities over to Garmin Connect. If you have a dropbox account, you may be able to dump your .tcx files there and have Tapiriik sync the files over to Garmin Connect. I'm not sure if it works that way, but it might.

For some time now Garmin Connect will not let me upload GPX or TCX files from MapMyRun, even if I wash the files through gpsies.com or Garmin Base Camp. Sometimes it does not load, cite some error, or tell me I already uploaded the file and shows me an older prior upload.
