I realize Garmin Express is not being supported on Windows XP. I tried to launch Express and I have to do a software update, which fails and then the application closes, so I cannot upload files from my Edge. I have no immediate plans to upgrade my Windows OS, yet not I cannot use the software required to upload through USB cable. How can I run the current version of Garmin Express without applying this update?
Since you are using an Edge device, you should be able to connect the USB cable and then click the Manual Upload link on the classic Garmin Connect here or the Import button on the modern Garmin Connect here. Once you've done that, browse to the files stored on the USB storage device Activities folder. Select the files you want to upload and upload them.
Or, of course, you could just upgrade your computer. :)
