Forerunner 310xt not detected by Garmin connect

I have a problem with my Forerunner 310xt; when I want to send a course to my 310xt, Garmin connect is not able to detect any device.
The strange thing is that I do not have any problems by uploading my activities with the ANT Agent and Garmin Express is detecting my 310xt automatically as well. Hence, there is connection between garmin connect en my forerunner 310xt.

I have tried several things, like reinstalling the Garmin Software (driver + ANT Agent software + communicator), installing Garmin express instead of the ANT agent, different laptops etc.
The problem seems to related to the Garmin communicator, as the communicator is not recognizing my 310xt. In the past, I was able to send courses to my forerunner 310xt.

Does anybody recognize this problem? Thanks for helping me out

    If you have Garmin Express, you shouldn't need the Communicator Plugin. At least that is the case with my 910XT. You don't need Garmin Connect to detect your device. You only need Garmin Express to see and talk to your 310XT.

    I'd expect that you'd have to uninstall the ANT Agent, Communicator Plugin, and Garmin Express to start clean. Once you've got rid of all of that, find folders on your computer named Garmin and rename them (so that the new installation of Garmin Express doesn't use the cached data). Then install Garmin Express. Go through the pairing process, and supply your Garmin Connect account information when prompted.

    I certainly recognise this problem.

    I've got exactly the same issue with my Forerunner 310 XT. I can download data from the watch to Garmin connect but i can't transfer courses back to the watch.

    I bought the watch in January 14 and there was no problem at first but for some reason it is not doing this anymore.

    Me either. This is quite annoying. Finally Garmin Express seems to recognize my 310xt. Before during the last months I had the Ant agent every time to discover my 310xt as it wouldn't transfer which was also annoying.

    But the Communicator plugin isn't able to detect the 310xt whereas the stick is plugged in. I would like to transfer to other sites without first having to export a gpx-file.

    I think the point is that you should just stop using Communicator. Garmin Express puts your files on your computer. You just need to locate them (see this) and manually upload them to whatever services you use. Of course you could uninstall Garmin Express and go back to the ANT Agent, but I'm afraid that won't work forever. An even better solution would be to use something like Tapiriik or CopyMySports to do this for you. I've been using Tapiriik for about a month and really like it.

    As for not being able to transfer courses/workouts from Garmin Connect to your 310XT, I'm not sure what is going on there. I was able to do this with my 910XT without any trouble using Garmin Express 3.2.5.0, and I just did it with 3.2.9.0. If it isn't working for you, I'd seriously consider following my instructions above.
