Old (pre Nov 2013) data missing

I went to look at an old run to compare the different speeds of different routes, and found that the actual GPS track was missing from GC. The exercise is still there, and it shows the correct time, distance and elevation gain, but there is no map of the route (it also has no record of device used - Fenix). A bit of trawling through activities and it appears that this is the case for all activities before November 2013!!!

Anyone else have this?
Garmin - can yo rectify this??

    Not me. I looked at some activities going back as far as 2011, to take a date at random, and both the map with track and the device type show up in the activity record.
  • Yep. I have about 50 activities between 2007 and 2011 that seem to have lost the GPS data, but not some of the other data. Did you ever find a solution and get the information back?

    I have lots of missing GPS data. Really frustrating, as I thought the web site would be a web archive that I can link to. Here's a messed up activity, in case you need some idea of what it looks like

    Hope no data lost and this just a problem with displaying the map.
  • So I poked around a bit and it is just a 'displaying the data' problem, possibly related to the recent up(?)grades of the web site. The data is still there. I was able to export both of those files in .tcx format see all of the data in TurtleSport and RubiTrack. In fact, if you switch to player mode, inexplicably, all of the data appears on that tab, just not on the details tab.

    PS. That ride near Mt. Rainier looks incredible.

    Yes, I have the same problem.
    The entry for the activity is there, but no map or graphs.
    I have hundreds of activities like this, all pre Jan 2014.
    I contacted Garmin support, they said to clear my browser history - this did not work.
    I contacted Garmin support again, they said to clear my device history - this did not work.
    I have explained the problem is with the data in Garmin Connect.
    I have asked if they could look at my activities pre Jan 2014.
    I always clear my device history.
    I always clear my browser history.
    I have used different computers, browsers, and OSs, the problem is always there.

    Has your issue been resolved?

    I contacted Garmin Support again, they said to clear my device history, I am in an infinite loop.
    I tried exporting the data, I did not import the data again.
    The activity then displayed correctly.

    I just sync'd a few workouts last week, and they're missing already. Shouldn't all my data be present when I sign in under the same login name? Also, I had previously sync'd data on my laptop but switched to using the desktop, and none of my previous data are available on this new site, none!
