Vivofit appears nowhere in Gamrin Connect

Hi to all,
I have been using Garmin Connect for years now, with my FR 410 (and now 610); Worked nicely even if it was not great when compared to others (like RunKeeper). I just got a vivofit that paired without problems with the ant agent. When I synced, i got the reassuring message that data where sent to Garmin connect. Problem is that when I open garmin connect, I get the standard one I had, and my vivofit walking activity appears nowhere.
Only my FR610 activities and goal appear.
This means I cannot setup the vivofit, decide goals and so on and so forth.

Any suggestions on what could be wrong? I am inches away from returning the device.

Thanks!
Francesco
  • I think that the VivoFit requires you use Garmin Express to sync your data to Garmin Connect. If this is the case, you should back up your Garmin data folder, uninstall the ANT Agent, remove all Garmin data stored on your computer (excluding the backup files) and then install Garmin Express.

  • Hi Travis, thanks!
I actually did install Garmin Express, that during the installation process did uninstall ANT. What is weird is that I could easily sync with the iphone and the ipad. And there the vivofit info appears. It does not appear, though, on garmin connect when accessed through the computer...
  • Have you tried adding the device (pairing) to Garmin Express?
  • Yes, the syncing went smoothly. It is the data that did not appear on garmin connect. I say did, because this morning they are there. Data for the two days...
So in principle everything is ok!
I will reopen the thread if I understand what went wrong first, and how I got it fixed inadvertently

    Thanks!
