Data don't show up in Windows Explorer (but they are on the GPS!)

Our partner sent us a GPS with lots of tracked data, but they were not able to copy the data to their computers.

I received the GPS (GPSMAP62) today, but I have the same issue and could not find a solution yet.

So I connect the GPS using the supplied USB cable, then drivers are installed by Windows7 withour error indications and the GPS becomes visible.

However, in the windows explorer I can go to the folder, but there are no folders visible, nor data (waypoints/tracks) listed. However, the data are luckily visible on the GPS and in the explorer I can also see that a part of the memory is in use.

Any suggestions? They have worked with two identical GPS's and with the other GPS there was no issue at all.
