This happens in both the new and old versions (I've toggled back and forth). I show that there are four new messages in my inbox. But when I click on it, it says that there are no new requests and no new notifications. It zeroes out (even the 4 in the browser tab goes away). Then after a while, it pops back up. Reloading the page doesn't bring it back up. I just notice it later when I don't close the tab.
I don't know the reason, but if it's any consolation, you are not alone.
Mine started doing this about the same time Garmin were asking me to update my browser. Assuming it was something to do with that, I moved to Firefox, and it still happens - although not as much.
L1TTLESOX, is yours still doing it? Mine had been for a while (probably since they gave me the option of the new interface), but it's now been 24 hours and the notification alert hasn't shown up again.
I think there are other threads on this - if you search the forums. It seems to occur when the browser has been left logged in and some part of connect has timed out. For me it is sometimes associated with other anomalies such as displaying a list of workouts from other users.
Is it affecting anything that you are doing? No Is it causing any problems? No Is it stopping you doing anything? No
Move on and get a life! Is this really such an issue?
Yes - it's lead me to come here and see if I'm missing messages for people or if it's a common problem No - but it may be a symptom of something else, or it may just be a "feature" #Apple No - but it derails me enough to go to forums to see if there's something I can change to fix it. So it may delay me in doing other stuff.
Now - ask the same three questions to yourself, regarding this thread, and decide if you needed to reply at all or could you have been getting a life yourself instead?
