Garmin Connect will not connect with my 910XT (MAC)

I have been syncing data between my 910XT and Garmin Connect via my MAC on a daily basis (running and cycling). I received notification of a Garmin software update a few days ago and now Garmin Connect, STRAVA or other fitness sites do not see my 910XT when I try and upload data !? The watch will not sync or transfer data using the USB. I have a back-up USB and I have the same problem with both USB devises. Would appreciate help. My 910XT has the latest software (3.00). I updated Garmin Communicator (4.2), but still no success.
  • It is a little unclear exactly what the problem is from your description. If you were using the ANT Agent previously, and have switched to Garmin Express, it is my understanding that the location of the files have changed, and this will break the Garmin Communicator Plugin (which is typically used by Strava to make uploads easier).

If you want to upload to Strava, you currently have to use Garmin Express to get the activity data off of your 910 and onto your Mac. Once the data is on your Mac, you can go to Strava's upload page and click 'From File' on the left side of the page. Then select the .fit files that are stored on your computer and upload them. You should be able to use Finder's search feature to locate the .fit files, or someone on these forums will be able to tell you where they are.
